FAQ: How do I associate a file type to Jarte so that files of that type always open in Jarte whenever I double click on them?

Windows ME, Windows 2000, & Windows XP:
o Start by using Jarte to open a DOC file.
o Click the File Properties button on Jarte's File Tools panel.
o Click the Change button in the Properties window.
o Select Jarte from the list of programs. If Jarte is not in the list then click the Browse button and find the Jarte program at C:\Program Files\Jarte\Jarte.exe.
o Be sure the Always use this program.. check box is checked and then click Ok.
o You're done! Now do the same thing with an RTF file, TXT file, and any others you want Jarte to handle.

Windows 95, Windows 98, & Windows NT:
o Find a file of the type you want to associate to Jarte in My Computer or in the Windows Explorer.
o Right click on the file while holding the Shift key down and select Open With from the pop-up menu.

Add existing folders to the list on the left (in emptemp's window). Then delete the contents of a folder (or all folders) by clicking a button in the toolbar.
You can also delete single files or subfolders by selecting them and pressing the Delete key. (Please note that all files and subfolders will be permanently deleted! They wont be moved to the recycle bin! You should really read the help file carefully, before using this application!) In the Options menu there's a menu item that lets you pick some predefined folders to get you started.
